Rules and Expectations & Project Ideas

Rules and expectations

  1. Choose a project that is new to you and something you wouldn't normally do in another academic class.
  2. Complete Genius Hour proposal form, to identify your "I wonder statement".
  3. Each month, we will have a week long Genius Hour session. I will establish the weekly goal, but it will be up to you to determine how to reach that goal. On Fridays, of each Genius Hour session, you will reflect on the process in a blog post.
  4. If at any moment you feel lost, overwhelmed, or uninspired, you must set a meeting with me to find a solution.
  5. At the end of the year, you will present your project and reflect on the process in a five-minute TED-style talk in front of other students, teachers, and community members. Your Ted Talk should include some sort of visual media component...See the link below for ideas!
